How the calculator works
- Enquiries needed = extra jobs wanted ÷ close rate. If you want 4 jobs and close 25% of enquiries, you need 16 enquiries.
- Monthly ad budget = enquiries needed × cost per enquiry.
- Ad cost per job = cost per enquiry ÷ close rate. This is the number to compare with what a job is worth.
- Return on ad spend = revenue from those jobs ÷ ad budget.

Lower your cost per enquiry with a clearer offer, better creative and a page that makes it easy to enquire. Raise your close rate by replying faster and following up every quote. Improving your close rate from 20% to 30% cuts your ad cost per job by a third, without spending another cent on ads.
